JUNE-2003        4900'+/-     9085'    6hrs+/-    Easy-Dual
Bike in from the Three Sisters Gate at the first turn going up to their golf course.  After you bike
for about 5k, you will see a sign that tells you to turn right.  Leave your bike at the creek
crossing.  This trail has a large family of Hoary Marmots (5) at relatively low elevation, 6500'.
Also ran into 6 rams using this trail on the way out, they and we were startled, thus, they
bolted to the local cliffs.  The Marmots appear photogenic and use to people.

This is a trail to the top.  We went in early June, so we did have to know where to go.  Stay to
the snow all the way to the base of Big Sister and then take a sharp right creating a U turn
and gain the col between Big and Middle Sister.  Then keep trudging up the Middle Sister
Ridge on a few steep snow fields.  This could be considered a long scramble (for an easy
one), but technically non-challenging.  We took 3:20 to the top.  There is a register.  It started
snowing on us while the sun shined.  Still, it was fabulous weather for June, not to hot, not to
cold.
Crux- Nothing, except for proper snow travel this
early (and pay attention for bears in this area).  Pic
